Andrés Galeote Luque

Hello! I’m Andrés Galeote Luque, a PhD student in Machine Perception and Intelligent Robotics group (MAPIR) at the University of Málaga (Spain). My research interests are focused on Range Odometry, using sensors like 2D and 3D LIDAR, RGB-D cameras and radar. This includes the following topics: Visual Odometry, Localization & Mapping and SLAM.

Short Bio

I was born in Málaga (Spain) in 1995, and started enjoying engineering from a young age. That’s why I studied and received a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering in 2016. During that time, I realized how much I loved programming, automation and mechanics, and decided to continue by completing the M.S. degree in Mechatronics in 2017, where I was introduced to Computer Vision. Then I started working as an R&D engineer in a small company called Fabulab. But after a year and a half, Javier talked me into getting back to the university to keep learning. In 2019, I received a FPI grant from the Spanish administration to perform my PhD in the University of Málaga.
