The European project ExCITE starts on 1st July

To share the knowledge and technical advances of our lab, the MAPIR group (represented on this occasion by Javier G. Monroy) attended the SMART RURAL “FIMART” innovation fair. In its third edition, this innovation fair brought together companies and research facilities with the aim to promote technology transfer and innovation in rural areas.
The ExCite Project (Enabling SoCial Interaction Through Embodiment) has won the first European AAL Forum Award 2011. The project has been selected as the most promising among 80 EUropean projects. -Press report on the award here (external link) –ExCite Project page at Mapir website.
