Then I moved to M\u00e1laga and received the MSc. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of M\u00e1laga in 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In late 2008, I received a FPU grant from the Spanish administration to perform my PhD in the University of M\u00e1laga, associated to the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/mapir.isa.uma.es\/\" target=\"_blank\">Machine Perception and Intelligent Robotics<\/a>&nbsp;group of the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uma.es\/isa\" target=\"_blank\">Department of System Engineering and Automation (ISA)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I received the PhD. degree in 2015 with my work&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/mapir.isa.uma.es\/famoreno\/papers\/thesis\/FAMD_thesis.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Stereo Visual SLAM for Mobile Robots Navigation<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;under the supervision of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mapir.uma.es\/mapirwebsite\/index.php\/people\/95-javier-gonzalez-jimenez.html\">Prof. Javier Gonz\u00e1lez<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ual.es\/~jlblanco\/\">Dr. Jos\u00e9-Luis Blanco<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2017 I teach different subjects within the ISA deparment, including Perception Systems, Robotic Systems, Industrial Automation and Computer Integrated Manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023 I obtained a permanent position as Associate Professor in the University of Malaga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My&nbsp;<strong>research interests<\/strong>&nbsp;include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Computer vision<\/strong>.<ul><li>Stereo vision.<\/li><li>Visual odometry and SLAM.<\/li><li>Global descriptors.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Mobile robotics<\/strong>.<ul><li>Localization and mapping.<\/li><li>Telepresence robotics.<\/li><li>Human-machine interaction.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2><span id=\"Teaching\">Teaching<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I teach these&nbsp;<strong>subjects<\/strong>&nbsp;at the University of M\u00e1laga (in Spanish)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><strong>Sistemas Robotizados<\/strong>&nbsp;(GITI)<\/li><li><strong>Automatizaci\u00f3n Industrial<\/strong>&nbsp;(GIEI &amp;
